【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationdescribesproductscomposedofdensethermoplasticelastomersthatarefabricatedintogasketsandaccessories(suchascompressionseals,settingblocks,spacers,andshims)foruseinsealingandglazingapplicationsinbuildingconstruction.Theseproductsareusedtosealorserveascomponentsofcompressionsealingsystemsbetweenmechanicallyrestrainedsurfacesinbuildingconstruction.1.2Thevaluesstatedinmetric(SI)unitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Theinch-poundvaluesgiveninparenthesesareprovidedforinformationpurposesonly.1.3TestMethodC1166,asreferencedinthisspecification,shouldbeusedtomeasureanddescribethepropertiesofmaterials,products,orassembliesinresponsetoheatandflameundercontrolledlaboratoryconditionsandshouldnotbeusedtodescribeorappraisethefirehazardorfireriskofmaterials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.However,resultsofthistestmaybeusedaselementsofafireriskassessmentthattakesintoaccountallofthefactorswhicharepertinenttoanassessmentofthefirehazardofaparticularenduse.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatoryrequirementspriortouse.
