【摘要】:ThispartofISO1628definesparticularconditionsfordeterminingthereducedviscosity(alsoknownasviscositynumber)andintrinsicviscosityofpolyethylenesandpolypropylenesat135℃indilutesolution.Itisapplicabletolow,mediumandhigh-densitypolyethylenesandtoawiderangeofpolypropylenes,includingpureisotactic,stereoblockandatacticpolymers.Theviscosityofpolymersolutionsmaybeaffectedbyadditivespresentinthesample.Thevalueofareducedviscositydeterminedbythismethodmaythereforebeunreliableifthesamplecontainsfillersorotheradditives.NOTEReducedviscosityisalsoknownastheStaudingerfunction(Jv)andintrinsicviscosityastheStaudingerindex(Jg).

【摘要】:1.1Thisguideisatooltoaidinthechoiceoflubricatinggreaseforprecisionrollingelementbearingapplications.TherecommendationsinthisguidearenotintendedforgeneralpurposebearingapplicationsTherearetwoareaswherethisguideshouldhavethegreatestimpact:(1)whenlubricatinggreaseisbeingchosenforanewbearingapplicationand(2)whengreaseforabearinghastobereplacedbecausetheoriginalgreasespecifiedforthebearingcannolongerbeobtained.TheReport(seeSection)containsaseriesoftestsonawidevarietyofgreasescommonlyusedinbearingapplicationstoallowcomparisonsofthosepropertiesofthegreasethatthecommitteethoughttobemostimportantwhenmakingachoiceoflubricatinggrease.Eachtestwasperformedbythesamelaboratory.Thisguidecontainsalistingofthepropertiesofgreasesbybaseoiltype,thatis,ester,perfluoropolyether(PFPE),polyalphaolefin(PAO),andsoforth.Thisorganizationisnecessarysincetheoperationalrequirementsinaparticularbearingapplicationmaylimitthechoiceofgreasetoaparticularbaseoiltypeandthickenerduetoitstemperaturestability,viscosityindexortemperature-vaporpressurecharacteristics,etc.Theguideprovidesdatatoassisttheuserinselectingreplacementgreasesforthosegreasestestedthatarenolongeravailable.Theguidealsoincludesaglossaryoftermsusedindescribing/discussingthelubricationofprecisionandinstrumentbearings.1.2Thelubricatinggreasespresentedinthisguidearecommonlyusedinprecisionrollingelementbearings(PREB).ThesegreaseswereselectedforthetestingbasedonthegreasesurveyobtainedfromDoD,OEMandgreasemanufacturesandevaluatedaccordingtothetestprotocolthatwasdesignedbySubcommitteeF34onTribology.Thistestprotocolcoverstheessentialrequirementsidentifiedforprecisionbearinggreases.Theperformancerequirementsofthesegreasesareveryunique.Theyaredictatedbytheperformanceexpectationsofprecisionbearingsincludinghighspeed,lownoise,extendedlife,andnocontaminationofsurroundingcomponentsbythebearingslubricantsystem.Toincreasethereliabilityoftestdata,alltestswereperformedbyaDoDlaboratoryandthreeindependenttestinglaboratories.Therewerenogreasemanufacturersdataimportedexceptforbaseoilviscosity.MostoftestswereperformedbyU.S.ArmyTank-AutomotiveResearch,DevelopmentandEngineeringCenter(TARDEC)andthreeindependentlaboratories,andtheresultsweremonitoredbytheNavalResearchLaboratory(NRL).Thiscontinuityoftestingshouldformasolidbasisforcomparingthepropertiesofthemultitudeoflubricatinggreasestestedbyavoidingsomeofthevariabilityintroducedwhengreasesaretestedbydifferentlaboratoriesusingdifferentoreventhe"same"procedures.Additionaltestdatawillbeconsideredforinclusion,providedthedefinedprotocolisfollowedandthetestsareperformedbyindependentlaboratories.1.3ThisstudywasapartofDoDAgingAircraftReplacementProgramandsupportedbyDefenseLogisticAgent(DLA)andDefenseSupplyCenterRichmond(DSCR).1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
